Graduate Degrees and Certificates

National trends in first-time enrollment by broad field of study show that enrollments in health sciences degree programs have been steadily climbing since 2005. Expanding opportunities for impactful, rewarding careers in the health and human services fields help explain why health sciences graduate enrollments consistently rank in the top three for all fields of study. Applications to UNC Charlotte College of Health and Human Services graduate programs are on the rise. This wave of momentum, along with our robust research agenda and the College’s close ties with Charlotte’s healthcare leaders, has lifted our programs to national prominence.

  • The UNC Charlotte Master’s in Healthcare Management program is ranked #33 by U.S. News & World Report, and is poised to climb further in the coming years.
  • Our Master’s in Social Work program is in the top ten percent nationally in the U.S. News and World & Report rankings, and moved up 12 spots on the 2016 list to #56.
  • The National League of Nurses selected the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing as a 2016 Center of Excellence in Nursing Education. The School of Nursing received the designation for creating environments that enhance student learning and professional development.
  • Belk Gym, home of the Department of Kinesiology, re-opened in 2016, following a renovation of nearly $20 million. Enrollment in the department has more than doubled over the past five years.
