Jess Still

I joined UNC Charlotte College of Health and Human Services in August 2024. I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2010 and am excited to be back with Niner Nation! Prior to joining UNC Charlotte as an Academic Advisor, I worked as a school social worker for 9 years in North Carolina. I enjoy supporting students as they discover their strengths, goals, and passions! 

Degrees

I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2014, I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from UNC Charlotte. 

Advice to Students

Get connected to campus! Your college years are some of the best years. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and try something new. Get a job on campus, volunteer, or join a student organization. I have also learned over the years that we can be the hardest on ourselves. Check in with yourself and make sure you are being as kind to yourself as you would a close friend. I am so glad you are here and I look forward to seeing all of the amazing things you will accomplish!

I am proud to be a Charlotte native! I love the beach and the mountains equally, so Charlotte is the perfect place for me. I enjoy being outdoors, getting as much sunshine as I can. In my free time, you may find me reading a book, taking my dogs on a walk, or eating some good food!
