UNC Charlotte’s Undergraduate Nursing Degree Ranked #54 by U.S News & World Report
UNC Charlotte’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program rose 58 spots to No. 54, its highest-ever ranking, in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings released Sept. 24.
The ranking places Charlotte among the top 10% of nursing programs in the nation.
U.S. News began ranking undergraduate nursing programs in 2022. The rankings are determined by averaging survey scores received from nursing schools or departments with bachelor-level accreditation by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
This is one of several national rankings for Charlotte’s nursing program. Charlotte’s traditional and online master’s in nursing programs are also nationally ranked by U.S. News.
In the U.S. News national rankings, which were also released Sept. 24, Charlotte is one of the fastest rising universities in the nation, rising 15 spots to No. 81 among public universities. In addition, Charlotte is recognized this year as one of the nation’s “Most Innovative Schools,” at No. 45.
