College of Health and Human Services Graduate Programs Receive Top Rankings

Five graduate programs within UNC Charlotte’s College of Health and Human Services are included in the U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Graduate Schools rankings, which were released April 8.
Three of the college’s nursing programs received recognition. The Master of Science in Nursing program rose 41 spots to No. 68 nationally. The Nursing Anesthesia program rose 18 spots to No. 33. And appearing on the rankings list for the first time, the Doctor of Nursing Practice program came in at No. 85.
These three programs join two other U.S. News & World Report national rankings for UNC Charlotte’s nursing program. Currently, the University is ranked No. 21 for Best Online Master’s in Nursing programs and No. 54 for Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs.
“Our continuing rise in the rankings can be attributed to the stellar students who are admitted to our programs along with high retention and graduation rates,” said Susan McLennon, Ph.D., director of UNC Charlotte’s School of Nursing. “Peer institutions are increasingly recognizing our School of Nursing for academic excellence.”
Also ranked among the top 2025 graduate programs are the college’s CAHME-accredited Master of Health Administration at No. 46 and CEPH-accredited Public Health programs at No. 99.
“We are gratified that we continue to be recognized as among the nation’s best health administration graduate programs,” said Sandi Lane, Ph.D., associate professor and Master of Health Administration program director. “Our ranking is a direct reflection of the quality of our faculty, the rigor of our curriculum, and the value we provide our students.”
