Giving
Invest in a Tradition of Excellence
The College of Health and Human Services remains committed to excellence in its academic programs, research, and service to the community and our professions. Your support is needed to uphold and advance this tradition of excellence. Please consider making a gift of any level to CHHS today. Your investment will directly impact talented students, extraordinary faculty, and groundbreaking research.
Please designate your gift to the College of Health and Human Services or one of its units: School of Nursing; Applied Physiology, Health, and Clinical Services; Epidemiology and Community Health; Health Management and Policy; School of Social Work.
Scholarships – Give the Gift of Education
Studies have confirmed the single most significant obstacle to student success in the classroom is the number of hours spent outside the classroom working to make ends meet. Your support through a student scholarship means students can focus their time on what is important – attaining a degree from the College of Health and Human Services.
In gratitude for your generous support, you will be invited each year to present your scholarship award to the student recipient on stage at the College’s awards and recognition ceremony in May.
Scholarships may be supported through annual gifts or may be established with an endowment, payable over several years. Donors work closely with the College to establish the award criteria and the name of the scholarship award. Many scholarships have been established in honor or in memory of loved ones.
Naming Opportunities – Make a Lasting Impression
Make a meaningful and lasting impression – literally – at the College of Health and Human Services. Your gift will have a profound impact on the College’s students, faculty, research initiatives, and service to the community. In gratitude for your investment, you will be invited to name a state-of-the-art classroom, exam room, laboratory, or academic unit in the College of Health and Human Services facility.
Endowed Professorships – Bring Talented Faculty to UNC Charlotte
Endowed professorships assist the College of Health and Human Services in recruiting talented faculty to UNC Charlotte by providing additional funding for research, professional development, and teaching resources.
Established with a gift payable over several years, endowed professorships are essential to advancing the research mission of UNC Charlotte and CHHS. Donors work closely with the college to establish the name and academic focus of the professorship.
Faculty Development
Funding designated for faculty development provides additional resources not otherwise available such as the opportunity to attend and present research at professional conferences, travel for research purposes, and the ability to hire a graduate assistant to assist with research and teaching and more.
