Dr. Dena Evans Elected President of North Carolina Council of Higher Education
Dr. Dena Evans has been elected President of North Carolina Council of Higher Education.
Evans, who serves as the director of the UNC Charlotte School of Nursing, was selected for a two-year term as leader of the organization comprised of deans and directors from Schools of Nursing in North Carolina.
The purpose of the Council is the serve the people of North Carolina by improving the practice of professional nursing through advancing the quality of baccalaureate and graduate programs in nursing. The Council provides a forum for discussion of issue of primary concern to baccalaureate and higher degree programs, responds to legislative matters and serves as a united voice on major issues affecting baccalaureate and higher education in nursing.
Evans will begin her term starting July 1, 2020.
