NURS 4090/6090: Study of the Mexican Health Care System

This one week course in historic colonial Guanajuato, Mexico is designed for students in a variety of health-related disciplines, such as nursing, social work, and public health, who are interested in healthcare and complementary healing. This undergraduate(4090)/ graduate(6090) course gives students an opportunity to examine the health care system and improve their understanding of the culture and people of Mexico. The students will participate in many cultural and educational opportunities including visits to museums, educational sites, area hospitals, and indigenous practitioners. Students will visit other sites in Santa Teresa, Juventino Rosas, and Irapuato.

Credits: 3 Graduate or Undergraduate
