Audrey Curry

I joined the College of Health and Human Services at UNC Charlotte in August 2026. I’ve been with Niner Nation since 2022, where I started as a Business Communication TA teaching public speaking and writing. I then migrated to Niner Central Student Services where I supported our student body with navigating the technical aspects of attending school, such as billing, transcripts, and financial aid. My favorite part of working in higher education is seeing students of all kinds pursuing their goals and learning new skills.

Degrees
I received my B.S. in Biology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, and my M.A. in Communication Studies from UNC Charlotte. 

Advice to Students
It’s ok to change your mind or not be sure where you are going. I thought being a scientist would be “my thing” and was sad that I wasn’t as satisfied as I thought I would be. The classes you take will still teach you new perspectives and there are a lot of resources at UNC Charlotte to assist you in your journey. Make sure to ask multiple students, professors, and staff about their favorite resources to get a variety of options!

I’m originally from California in the Bay Area, and lived in Vancouver Canada for about 6 years. I love reading just about anything and watching horror movies with my Siamese cat Koda.
