Natalie Gardner-Gordon
I joined UNC Charlotte College of Health and Human Services in July 2024. My journey in higher education started with my graduate assistantship with the UCAE (University Center for Academic Excellence) here at Charlotte. I worked with students on academic probation and the peer mentors that provided them with support. My favorite part about working in the office was the amount of support I was able to offer students, whether that be providing information about on campus resources or just an ear to listen.
Degrees
I graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Japanese language. After living abroad in Japan for 2 years teaching English, I returned to Charlotte to get my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I enjoy supporting students in pursuing what they are passionate in and providing them with the resources to achieve success.
Advice to Students
Always remember that you are in control of your future and your own path! As Jen Sincero said, the moment you have the audacity to start believing in the not-yet seen, your reality will begin to shift…remember everything you desire is right here, right now.
About Me
I am originally from Virginia but grew up here in Charlotte, I call myself a quasi-native. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, spending time with my husband and bearded dragon, and playing roller derby.
I look forward to serving our CHHS students here at UNC Charlotte!
