Funding Opportunities

The CHSS Research Office is dedicated to helping its faculty find funding opportunities to match research interests. New faculty members are encouraged to meet with CHHS Research Office staff to discuss their current research interests and to set up customized searches using funding databases accessible to UNC Charlotte faculty and staff.

Funding Sources Databases:

• COS Pivot Funding Opportunities Database Pivot offers searches for many funding types in all disciplines. Users may customize optional funding alerts by email.

• Grants Resource Center The Grants Resource Center provides services to its members. Contact Pre-Award staff for access.
• Foundation Directory Online The Foundation Directory Online is the most comprehensive database for private foundations /grantmakers in the U.S. It allows access to foundations not accessible through web searches.
• NC OpenBook NC OpenBook allows researchers to search North Carolina state government grant and financial assistance programs and view historical data regarding awards made.
• Grants.gov Grants.gov is your source to FIND for federal grant opportunities.
