Faculty Community Engagement Award: The CHHS Faculty Community Engagement Award, first established for academic year 2012- 2013, honors a CHHS faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to the greater community and inspired additional meaningful partnerships among faculty, students, and community organizations across any of the disciplines represented through the programs of the College of Health and Human Services. This award is meant to recognize community engagement as the collaboration of the university with the public and private sectors for the mutual benefit of all. This engagement is not simply service or membership, but it is the combination of leadership related to collaboratively meeting a community need through teaching, scholarship and/or outreach.

CHHS Promoting Diversity & Appreciating Difference Award: The CHHS Promoting Diversity & Appreciating Difference Award was established in 2014 to give public honor to a CHHS faculty member who has made significant contributions toward creating and/or fostering a positive environment for people of diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, and beliefs.

CHHS Faculty Excellence in Mentoring Award: The CHHS Faculty Excellence in Mentoring Award, first established for academic year 2012- 2013, honors a CHHS faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding mentorship of students across any of the disciplines represented through the programs of the College of Health and Human Services. This award is meant to recognize faculty efforts in supporting, encouraging and promoting their students' research, education, professional and personal development, and career plans.

CHHS Faculty Research Excellence Award: The CHHS Faculty Research Excellence Award, first established for academic year 2012-2013, honors a CHHS faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding scientific achievement across any of the disciplines represented through the programs of the College of Health and Human Services. This award is meant to recognize and celebrate cutting-edge scholarly efforts that are having an impact on best practices, improved patient and client outcomes, enhancing the health of communities, or that make significant and new contributions to both clinical and basic research. Research efforts that engage graduate and undergraduate students or that are inter- or transdisciplinary in nature are of particular merit.

CHHS Faculty/Staff Internationalization Award: TheFaculty/Staff Internationalization Award recognizes a faculty or staff member for their outstanding contributions to the enhancement of the international, global and/or Intercultural experience in CHHS.
The Teaching Excellence Award was established to give public honor to extraordinary teachers in the College of Health and Human Services:
- Undergraduate Teaching Award -- Part-time or Full-time faculty teaching in an undergraduate course that demonstrates innovative teaching strategies and engagement with students.
- Graduate Teaching Award -- Part-time or Full-time faculty teaching in a graduate course that demonstrates innovation in teaching, student engagement and mentorship in the discipline.
- Clinical Teaching Award -- Part-time or Full-time faculty teaching in a clinical, practicum or field work course that demonstrates expertise in the discipline.
- Online Teaching Award -- Part-time or Full-time faculty teaching in an online course that demonstrates innovative teaching strategies and engagement with students.
Staff Member of the Year Award recipients will have made a significant impact on the College, including, but not limited to, service to a specific unit or multiple units, through some combination of the following: outstanding dedication, exceptional performance, excellent service to students, faculty, and/or staff, and ingenuity, as demonstrated by one or more of the following:
- Exemplary Achievement and Performance: Consistently and substantially exceeds the expectations of the position, performing at a level above and beyond normal job requirements and expectations; has made important and significant contributions in their area; contributes and demonstrates commitment to the College’s mission and goals.
- Excellence in Customer Service/Personal Interaction: Consistently and substantially demonstrates an ability and willingness to work positively, respectfully, and effectively with others; has significantly improved customer service or has increased student satisfaction in their area; demonstrates ability and willingness to manage changes in work priorities, procedures, and organization; demonstrates exceptional ability to foster collaboration, communication and cooperation among colleagues and members of the College community
- Outstanding Education Support/Initiative and Creativity: Significantly improved a work process or system, or has significantly increased the efficiency of an operation or department/unit; consistently seeks to improve the quality of work assigned; demonstrates efforts to expand work responsibilities; significant improvements in services or enhanced constituent satisfaction.
Staff Service Award honors a full-time CHHS staff member who has provided exemplary service to a profession, the university, CHHS and/or the greater community. This award is meant to recognize service contributions that go above and beyond expected customer service and service facets of the staff member's regular job.
Golden Nugget Award recipients are staff members who are nominated for going above and beyond the call of duty.
